Tug Toys with Jean Kilford

Today's meeting was a "hands on" one with Jean Kilford encouraging us all to produce "tug toys" for babies. She showed us some she had made earlier and that had been much loved by her grandchild.

We traced round her templates and set to work

The circular one was worked as a lion, a flower, the sun, and a soft cushion.

Work in progress on the sea horse.

The hedgehog was also adapted into a dinosaur

Finished items, as all ours will be by the time of the next meeting (9th June)!

Thanks to Jean for the inspiration and all those ribbons.

Tug Toys

The next meeting will be on Tuesday 12th May at 2pm in Alsager Library.
Jean Kilford will be showing us how to make Tug Toys. This will be a "hands on" event so please bring your basic sewing kit and some material suitable for a child's toy. The toys are stuffed so if you have some stuffing please bring it, but don't buy any especially as some will be provided. Jean will provide the ribbon.  Even if you do not have a child to make a toy for it is still worth having a go as these sell well at craft fairs and "bring-and-buys".

Visitors welcome £3.50
