Embroidery of the Century

Last year our group completed a fabulous wall-hanging. It was a project devised by Lavinia Earl.
Groups of Embroiderers were asked to select a year from the last century, research the highlights of the year and illustrate them in stitch.
Our branch chose 1946. The results were very diverse and a variety of techniques were used.
Joining the panels involved a lot of team-work, chatting and tea drinking.
We were thrilled with the completed panel. Lavinia hopes to exhibit all the panels together.
She will donate all the proceeds to charity.
